Evaluation of changes seen in TMJ after mandibular advancement in treatment of Class II malocclusions, with functional appliances, a CBCT study

Introduction and Aim: Various functional appliances are developed to remodel the glenoid fossa and, thereby change position of mandible correct Class II malocclusion. Many diagnostic aids have already been used evaluate changes ,but Cone Beam computed tomography (CBCT), three -dimensional tool is rarely .So this study was conducted with an aim seen in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) after mandibular advancement class malocclusions appliance therapy, using CBCT, also assess compare efficacy Twin Block, Power Scope Forsus Fatigue Device for correction malocclusion.Materials Methods: The retrospective performed 52 CBCT scans 26 patients malocclusion due retrognathic mandible. subjects were divided into groups based on (Twin Resistant Device) treatment. TMJ condylar response therapy evaluated six. Data obtained subjected one-way Anova analysis Posthoc Tukey test. Software SPSS version 20 analyse data. level significance set at p < 0.05.Results: In treated condyle displaced slightly downwards anteriorly; height reduced. decrease anterior superior spaces found. PowerScope Device, there increase width a space.Conclusion: All found bring about structures, but amongst them block has proved be more efficient.
